Website Content – A Case Study

Every company needs a great website. At a minimum, a company website needs to establish the credibility of the organization and make it easy for prospective customers to understand and engage with its products and services.

This client needed a site rescue! Her web presence did not convey the professionalism of her practice. Therefore, although she kept a steady stream of customers through referrals alone, the site was counter-productive. The lack of professionalism was probably costing her clients, as well.

The challenge was to bring the site into the 21st century with clear messaging that conveyed:

  • What the service was
  • Who the service was for
  • Why the service was critical for the people who most needed it
  • How to get the service

Our Solution

Customizing a WordPress template, we created this basic website that could brand the client’s services with unique content and a strong visual brand identity.

The first step was a bit of business consulting. We had to work with her for several weeks to distill her “essential intent” with the business. What was her “unique value proposition?” We had to get to the root of that, and frame it through messaging — so that her site would attract only the kinds of clients she was looking for.

We partnered with a web development firm to build a simple, five-page site that is easy to navigate.

We created a page for each distinct line of service. The key messages begin in the first frame — the “why” is clear: because “everything you do communicates.”

Low-cost stock photography further branded the simple site by showing the primary categories of clients the company services.

Going forward, no visitor to this site will be confused. Site visitors will know at once if they have found what they are seeking – or not. The site will now attract only the right clients.
