October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

We are inspired by the huge numbers of women who are beating breast cancer today!

The courage and steely resolve required to face down this disease are unbelievable.

ALL of us have been touched or know beautiful souls who have been touched by the disease.

We honor those who did not make it and we live in the joyous expectation that human knowledge will soon catch up to this plague and eliminate it once and for all.

To all of you who march for miles to raise money, we thank you.
To those of you who write checks, we thank you.
To the researchers and doctors and nurses and caregivers and clergy and friends who help the women and their families through, we thank you.

Lots of information – everything you need to know – is available from the American Cancer Society.

According to the  Society, ‘through earlier detection — through screening and increased awareness — and better treatments, a woman’s risk of dying of breast dropped 38 percent between the late 1980s and 2014, translating into 297,300 fewer breast cancer deaths during that time…While black and white women get breast cancer at roughly the same rate, black women are 42% more likely to die from it.’

Get tested! And make your loved ones do it too! Early detection is everything.

We adore you!
