leading the charge into transmedia theater

This “transmedia” project really began in 2008, in Chicago, when Black Women Playwrights Group produced the first national meeting of women of color writing drama — itself a collaboration with Loyola University. Now, BWPG’s digital media project is a collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, and includes theaters across the country.
